Movement is essential

Our bodies crave movement everyday.

There is a big belief out there that if your workout doesn’t make you sweat, it’s not worth doing. Truth is gentle workouts can be just as vital as hard core workouts even if it’s just walking. Think of it as your daily serving of fruits and vegetables. Honor yourself by honoring your body. 

When you are ready to boost your burn and do a little more, you can get your heart rate up by adding some intervals and climbing some hills. 

It’s a whole body activity. It is great for your joints, bones, and is known to boost immune function and reduce stress when making it a regular routine. It can also alleviate some hormone related symptoms, keep you mentally sharp and eliminate fatigue. If you can budget 30 minutes of your day to walking, hiking or some sort of movement, that is an excellent entry point. 

Before you start, stop and take a few deep breaths and set your intentions. What are you hoping to gain from your experience? Focus on something that inspires you and allow that to be your motivation.
