Live Peacefully...Live Strong...Live Free

All you need is 2 feet and a heartbeat

Hi! My name is Kimberly Welsh, I am a wellness/adventure coach from Southern California. I’ve been an avid hiker and outdoor enthusiast for seven years. My love for nature and fitness inspires me to help others live their best lives through movement, mindset, and exploring the outdoors.  Over the last two years, I have developed a new love for solo backpacking in the Eastern Sierras and various National Parks. This motivated me to train beginner backpackers in preparation and readiness with gear tips and advice, guided hikes and fitness training. I recently took on a part time position at the Pearl in Laguna Beach, Ca, as a hiking guide in the Laguna Wilderness and Crystal Cove State Park.  Exploring the outdoors, connecting with nature, traveling and helping others continues to open my world. My goal is to continue to gain knowledge, help people get to know their strengths and empower them to pursue new endeavors

Why Wanderin2wellness?

One thing I’ve learned on my journey is that it is absolutely necessary to take risks. Taking risks can be scary as hell but fear is debilitating and will hinder your growth.  Do you have those days where you feel stuck and unmotivated? Or maybe feel that you’re not good enough. You’re not alone in that. Remember that ego can be very protective. Losing our way is part of the journey. I want to encourage you to push yourself to get up and find that spark. Free yourself of fear of failure and self doubt. It is never too late to get out there and make necessary changes, go after your dreams and turn stepping stones into milestones. Find your inspiration and stay hungry for growth, even when it’s scary.

Taking risks will build your confidence and will motivate you.

What do you get out of it?

It is not just about the work that you put in but it is also a learning process. You are taking the time out to learn more about health and you are giving yourself the opportunity to grow. It takes a lot of patience, and sometimes, it is easy to get discouraged. Learning about your body and how it performs best is one of the most important things that you can do for yourself. Nutrition and fitness, awareness and discipline are not just words they are tools. They are there for you to care for yourself and empower you to become stronger, smarter and more confident. Think of it this way, your amazing body is the only body that you will ever have. You were born with this body. It has indeed changed a lot and will continue to change, but it is still yours and always will be. No matter what shape it is, how much you love or hate it, whether it feels tired and worn out or lively and invigorated, your body is the most precious thing you have. How well you care for it will determine how well you are able to live your life.

As we enter a new day, a new season, a new journey ahead let’s take a moment to let go of the things that no longer serve us. Breathe out that stale air, and release it. As you take that new breath in, let that be your new energy. Take this opportunity to set new intentions for your journey ahead and allow that to guide you.

Trail Therapy

Our life is full of mountains we believe we are incapable of climbing. There is a fog that prevents us from seeing the path ahead. We have to wipe this fog from our gaze and clean off the “impossibilities”, from our lens. When we say the words, “it’s impossible”, that is a deceptive filter.

The human body can endure some pretty amazing things. Throughout our lives there will be many things we feel we are unable to do, or that it just seems impossible. So we go along mentally, building walls. When these walls are finally able to come down, we cannot believe they ever cause us so much fear in the first place.

You are ready and capable of doing many things on this Earth.
