I just returned home from hosting the 2024 Temecula Fall Equinox Retreat. It was a fabulous Fall weekend spent just outside of wine country, where we enjoyed a private tour and fun-loving tasting experience at Plateau Vineyards combined with a relaxing getaway at the Ojas Retreat Center on the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve, a unique protection area for many ecosystems. This gorgeous plateau offers close to 40 miles of hiking and biking trails to explore and beautiful views. It was the ultimate self-care weekend with a little hiking, yoga, and rejuvenation while soaking up the views and all of the Fall feels as we relaxed in the evenings at our cozy AirBnB.

We checked into our lovely rental in Wildomar, just minutes away from the Santa Rosa Plateau, Temecula wineries and the historical Glen Ivy Hot Springs Spa. The lovely 3 bedroom home (accommodates 6) provided a welcoming feel and everything we needed for our weekend stay. The backyard is spacious with plenty of seating, a bbq area, fire table, an outdoor cabana, and even has corn hole! If you’re looking to plan your next getaway for recreation, wine tasting, relaxation at the spa, or nature therapy, I highly recommend this home as it’s geographically desirable and provides a peaceful setting throughout your stay. Below is a list of links to check out as well as a few other options to view while planning your visit.
Wine Tasting in Temecula-
Gorgeous rolling hills lined with picturesque vineyards, Temecula is one of my favorite spots to visit in the Fall. Award-winning wineries offering beautiful panoramic views of Fall leaves hanging on the vines, and several outdoor activities to do in this quaint little wine country. I love visiting Peltzer Winery for a fun-loving tasting experience and a stroll through their adorable pumpkin patch.
Most wine enthusiasts say that autumn harvest season is the best time to visit the wineries. Vineyards throughout the region turn spectacular shades of gold and red. Wineries start harvesting grapes in September and October. This gives the fun opportunity to witness the annual grape crush with tours through the crush pads, where grapes are pressed before the fermentation process can begin.
Aside from 40+vineyards and gorgeous scenery, Temecula also offers hot air balloon rides, golf, horseback and cycling adventures, hiking, camping and more.
I’ve listed a few favorite recs below to help plan your next adventure.
