Monday Morning Reminder…

Your purpose is your internal compass that guides you, motivates you and brings fulfillment. Purpose provides direction and energy for focused action. It’s what gives you a vision of a best possible future and pulls you closer toward it while giving your life meaning and aligning your everyday decisions.

It’s easy to lose sight of your inner compass on the daily grind. When you’re running on auto pilot, “getting things done” can feel pretty exhausting. It’s easy to get bogged down in the daily list of tasks, so much that there are times you forget why you’re even doing them in the first place. That’s why having a purpose and finding ways to stay connected is so important. The more you hold this in your conscious awareness, the more your behavior harmonizes with your values, giving you a good strong energy to share with the world.

Each morning, I begin my day with reading a daily affirmation to meditate on and writing in a gratitude journal. To me, journaling is about reflection, healing, expression, releasing self limiting beliefs, and organizing my thoughts. Combined with a proactive relationship with my body and getting in daily morning hikes, honoring my spirit and allowing myself to grow with a sense of curiosity and wonder about what tomorrow will bring, this routine has had a powerful impact on my overall health and has healed me in many ways. It’s a positive practice I know I need to stay consistent with for clarity and overall well being.

Stay consistent with activities and pursuits that feel most fulfilling to you and reflect how exploring these interests intersect with what the world needs.
